MICKEY LEE PETERSEN (Guitar, Vocals)
Mick is actually a professional accordion player, which separates him from the rest of the band, at least in his words. You’ve heard of the song "Mickey’s Monkey." All joking aside, Mick really can play the accordion... Mick comes from a strong background of rock and roll -- in 2003 he was inducted into the Iowa Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame as a founding member of Bonesteel. Not only does he have total control of his Strats and Les Pauls, but Mick is a strong vocalist in this group and is one of the best entertainers from this area. he is also a seasoned national recording artist.
MERLE PITHAN (Keyboards, Vocals)
Merle has quite a background of performing spanning over 40 years. He one of the original members of Bonesteel, one of the original members of the early Board of Directors, and a longtime member of the popular country/rock band Leafy Spurge, which has earned him a two inductions in the Iowa Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame and induction into the Nebraska Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. Following his years in Bonesteel, Merle found himself mingling and working with national recording artists, Nashville song writers, and musicians such as the members of the Boy Howdy Band, Zella Lehr, Becky Hobbs, Duane Scioqua, Jeffrey Steel and many more. Merle shared success with Bob Birch as original members of the national recording rock 'n roll act Chill Factor. Merle plays keyboards and is a strong vocalist in the BOD, and is also a seasoned national recording artist.
CoCo WALTERS (Vocals, Harmonica)
Fresh from the Grand Ol' Opry, CoCo is the newest addition to the band. The Nashville recording star and two-time Siouxland Entertainer of the Year will have you on your feet in no time. CoCo is a seasoned national recording artist with many solo CD's to her credit. Her singing career involved her with national icons such as Porter Wagoner (see video). Prior to joining the BOD, CoCo sang with the Detroit Wheels (Mitch Ryder's band) and her own eight-piece horn band, "Wild Katz." She performed on the "Crook and Chase Show," "Midnight Jamboree," "WSM," and several other TV specials with Waylon Jennings. So much soul, such a powerful voice -- she will just plain awe you. CoCo is also a seasoned national recording artist, as well as being Female Vocalist of the Year in the Nashville Celebrityfest in 1994.
BOB BIRCH (Bass Guitar, Vocals)
From an early age Bob has been playing rock 'n roll. Colorado's loss was Sioux City's gain when Bob moved his bass and vocal skills a few hundred miles east. He was inducted into the Iowa Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame in 2003 with the famous Bonesteel band. Bob has performed and recorded nationally with Chill Factor, Bonesteel, and the Profane Saints. Bob is fast becoming a top recording engineer and has been a seasoned national recording artist for quite some time now.
DANNY WYANT (Drums)
Danny is one of the finest drummers in the area, and has performed with some of the best in the industry. He has had been published in the national publication Drummer Magazine. Danny is also a seasoned recording artist, but does not sing -- nor will the band let him.
Oh. Lest we forget, we must point out that road maps are not his forte.
KEVIN LINDER (Trumpet)
Mr. Linder, as his students call him, is an educational and music professional. A music teacher by trade, Kevin has been performing in regional bands for years, but admits that playing with a rock band such as the BOD has been just what the “Doctor” ordered.
After hearing him play you will also call him by his nickname, Doc -- there are echoes and shades of Doc Severinsen in every note Kevin plays.
DAVE SNAKENBERG (Trombone)
“Snake” is a music teacher in the South Sioux Educational system. In his words "I'm having a hoot." Dave nails the Chicago-Pankow bone parts every night and puts on a show each and every night -- and always has a fan section in front of him at every performance.
Trust me, just watching Snake play can be nearly as exhausting as dancing, no matter how hard you boogie!
MIKE GUNTREN (Tenor Sax)
Mike is one of the area’s finest saxophone players. He is the youngest in the band family and, at this time, has the youngest child in the band family as well. Mike is involved with the surrounding schools in dealing with band instruments.
His solos will blow you away and “hurt you” -- IN A GOOD WAY!
